My African Adventures – Travel Terms & Conditions
1. Definitions
- “Company” refers to myafricanadventures.com and its affiliated partners or suppliers.
- “Client” / “Guest” means the person(s) booking and participating in the tour.
- “Tour” or “Experience” refers to any guided or self-drive itinerary, package, or service offered by the Company.
- “Supplier” means third-party providers such as accommodation establishments, vehicle rental agencies, activity operators, or service contractors.
2. Booking and Payment
- A 75% non-refundable deposit is required to confirm a booking.
- The balance is due 90 days prior to departure unless otherwise agreed in writing.
- For bookings made within 90 days of departure, full payment is required at the time of booking.
- Payments must be made through www.myadricanadventure.com in USD
3. Pricing and Inclusions
- Prices are quoted per person unless otherwise indicated and include VAT where applicable.
- Packages typically include vehicle hire, accommodation, meals as specified, selected activities, and support services.
- Excluded items usually include international flights and personal insurance, unless otherwise stated.
- The Company reserves the right to adjust pricing due to currency fluctuations, fuel surcharges, or supplier rate changes.
4. Cancellations and Refunds

- No refunds will be made for unused services, no-shows, or early departures.
5. Changes by the Company
- The Company reserves the right to alter routes, accommodations, vehicles, or itineraries due to weather, road conditions, mechanical breakdowns, border closures, or other circumstances beyond its control.
- If a significant change is necessary, clients will be notified and offered an alternative itinerary or partial refund, depending on feasibility.
6. Client Responsibilities
- Clients must hold valid passports, visas, driver’s licenses, and travel insurance.
- Clients are responsible for complying with customs, immigration, and health regulations of all countries visited.
- Clients must adhere to local laws, park rules, and safety instructions provided by guides or staff.
- The Company accepts no liability for damages or penalties incurred due to a client’s failure to comply with regulations.
7. Travel Insurance
- Comprehensive travel insurance is mandatory for all participants, covering:
- Trip cancellation/interruption
- Medical expenses and evacuation
- Personal accident and baggage loss
8. Liability and Indemnity
- Participation in overlanding activities carries inherent risks.
- The Company, its employees, and suppliers shall not be liable for any loss, injury, illness, damage, delay, or death arising from:
- Acts of God, weather, natural disasters, or wildlife encounters
- Vehicle accidents, theft, or mechanical failures
- Political unrest, border closures, or government actions
- Negligence or failure to follow instructions by the client
- Clients voluntarily assume all risks associated with participation and agree to indemnify the Company from claims or damages.
9. Vehicles and Equipment
- Clients are responsible for vehicle care, safe driving, and adherence to road laws.
- Damage caused by negligence, reckless driving, water ingress, or off-limit terrain is the client’s responsibility.
- Equipment (rooftop tents, fridges, recovery gear, etc.) must be respected, damaged items will be charged at replacement cost.
10. Health and Fitness
- Participants should be in good health and disclose any medical conditions at the time of booking.
- The Company reserves the right to decline participation if a client’s health or behaviour compromises safety or comfort of others.
11. Complaints
- Any complaint must be reported immediately to the tour leader or Company representative to allow corrective action.
- Unresolved complaints must be submitted in writing within 14 days of tour completion.
12. Governing Law and Jurisdiction
- These terms are governed by the laws of Namibia (or The Republic of South Africa, depending on the tour’s operating entity).
- Any disputes shall be settled in the courts of Cape Town, South Africa, unless otherwise agreed.
13. Acknowledgment
By booking with My African Adventures, the Client acknowledges having read, understood, and accepted these Terms & Conditions, including all risk and liability provisions.
